Volunteer Alexandria is seeking assistance from residents of Alexandria towards its Care for Community program which is geared towards helping those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.Volunteer Alexandria is dedicated to connecting non profit organizations to volunteer who can assist in making a difference to residents in Alexandria. So far the organization has mobilized volunteers to help with emergency food distribution through ALIVE! food bank and the Alexandria City Public Schools. Residents are needed to become volunteers to assist those in need. They are also needed to assist through small team projects and online volunteerism.

Volunteer Alexandria is also seeking residents who can become Emergency Response Donors. These residents can donate online or mail a check to the Volunteer Alexandria headquarters. With the increasing outbreak of COVID-19 all hands are required to be on deck to support neighbors and communities who are desperately in need.
