Plant A Pinwheel In Support Of The Prevention Of Child Abuse

Project Beacon of Hope is inviting all residents of Del Ray and its surrounding communities to join them in the planting ceremony of pinwheels on April 4 2020 at Charles Hill Park 300 E Oxford Avenue in Del Ray.

Pinwheels will be planted in the new garden as the city brings awareness to child abuse during child abuse prevention month which occurs in April. Founder of Project Beacon of Hope Christopher Thomas stated that “pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse prevention and a representation of the joys of children ad the childhood that we want our children to have.” Thomas also hope the event will bring families and kids together against the fight of child abuse.
