On February 24, 2020 the VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital will no longer offer overnight emergency care. The hospital which offers an array of preventive, diagnostic, surgical and emergency service is unable to continue with the overnight care as there is a lack of willing and able veterinarians available to work during the overnight hours.
VCA will continue to offer care to patients during the regular working hours from Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and on Saturdays on 8 am to 3pm. With the new change to be implemented the hospital will be seeking to extend general practice hours on weekdays and weekends. Emergency and urgent care services will remain available 24 hours on any day until February 24, 2020.
