The 57th annual Woodlawn Needlework Show & Sale will take place during the entire month of March at the Woodlawn & Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House 900 Richmond Highway in Alexandria. The event which will be held daily except on Tuesdays will honor the life of Eleanor "Nelly" Custis, the grand-daughter of George and Martha Washington and one of America's first celebrity craft makers.
The event, which is a showcase of needle arts will feature hundreds of needlework piece, live demonstrations, special exhibits and much more. The event will also promote emerging and stable needle-work artists while raising funds to preserve the historic site of Woodlawn & Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House. All residents are invited to attend this special event.
