Virginia Hospital Center To Open Primary Care Facility In Crystal City

Virginia Hospital Center recently moved its Urgent Care facility to Crystal City, but plans are already underway to expand the facilities. According to its website, the Virginia Hospital Center Immediate Care will soon have a family and OB/GYN care (by appointment). The center, which opened earlier this month at 764 23rd Street S, currently operates as an immediate care facility for non-emergency medical conditions such as colds/flu, minor lacerations, sprains/fractures, minor burns, and ear, eye, or urinary infections.  This new center will be within scooter distance of Amazon's new HQ2. Currently, VHC provides primary care treatment at its main hospital campus ((1625 N. George Mason Drive) and in Shirlington (2800 Shirlington Road). Earlier this week, the hospital started offering trauma services at its Emergency Room. Staff at the center say they plan is to start offering primary care services in June.
