I took my daughter to this park on a Sunday afternoon and she had a blast playing at the playground. There’s limited parking in the park so we had to find street parking. The playground had two areas; one for 2-5-year-olds and the other for 5-12-year-olds. My daughter immediately went to the older kids section which had a large play structure with numerous slides and places to climb, a climbing wall, regular and accessible swings, spinners, and more.

The toddler section had a smaller scale play structure, a boat-themed sand area with toys, four bucket swings and a couple of rocker seats. The play area is completely fenced and has a covered pavilion with picnic tables, as well as some more picnic tables under the shade of the trees, a water fountain, and charcoal grills for barbecue. There’re always birthday parties for kids being hosted here.

Penrose Park is wheelchair accessible and also has a large basketball court and a dog walking area.
