Plymouth Haven is a neighborhood of single-family homes located in Fairfax County, VA near Fort Hunt. This neighborhood was originally developed starting right after World War II and features a mix of architectural styles including Bungalow, Cape Cod, Colonial, Rambler and Split-level designs. There are many original homes in Plymouth Haven that have been remodeled and expanded or torn down and replaced with new luxury homes.
Although the neighborhood was mostly developed by the middle of the 1960s there were some later additions. Several houses have been knocked down and rebuilt. This gives Plymouth Haven an interesting variety of homes on large-lots that has an organic home-grown feel to the neighborhood which is nearly the opposite of a tract of similar floorplans.
Plymouth Haven is located in the Fort Hunt section of Arlington and centered around Plymouth Road. Streets in the community include Alden Road, Fort Hunt Road, Lombardy Lane, Plymouth Road, Potomac Lane, Priscilla Lane, Standish Road, and Winthrop Drive. Plymouth Haven is served by the Waynewood Elementary School, Carl Sandburg Middle School, and West Potomac High School.
