The streets of the City of Alexandria will now be brighter as streetlamps are now being replaced with LED lights. The project, which will be done by the city's traffic operations team in partnership will Dominion Energy will see 2,500 streetlamps being changed into LED lights. The use of LED lights will reduce energy consumption, save money, burn brighter and reduce maintenance costs for the City. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2020.
