“A Taste Of Winter” December Exhibit At Gallery Underground

As winter fast approaches, we find ourselves drawing closer to the fires. The warmth of family and friends feed our spirits, as the food from the ovens feeds our bodies. The kitchen is our refuge from these cold, dark days outside, as winter swirls about, waiting to nip at our noses and freeze our toes. At the Focus Gallery, the members of the Arlington Artists Alliance will be exhibiting art celebrating the beauty and bleakness of winter and the culinary delights that can brighten the darkest days. The exhibition dubbed "A Taste of Winter" will feature new member works in the main gallery including paintings, sculpture, jewelry and metalwork, glasswork, woodwork, and ceramics, mixed media and photography. Come meet the artists at Gallery Underground’s opening reception on Friday, December 5, from 5-7 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. The event will run from December 2 to 27th at Gallery Underground in Crystal City Shops @ 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202. It's Metro accessible and there's metered parking on nearby streets and public garages which are free on weekends and after 4 pm on weekdays. For more information, please check the Gallery Underground's website.
