How’s the Playground Like At High View Park?

High View Park is a three-acre park located at 1945 N Dinwiddie Street, in the historic Halls Hill/Highview Park neighborhood in Arlington, Va.

We visited the place on a Sunday afternoon to check out the playground and this is what we found. The playground at High View Park is divided into two sections; one for older kids(ages 5-12) and the other for younger children(ages 2-5). The older kids' area featured a tower-like play structure with a large tube slide and a variety of fun stairs to climb, two regular swings, a stationary cycler, and uniquely designed monkey bars. My five-year-old daughter had fun playing here. There is a perimeter fence in this area although it is fully enclosed. The younger kids' play area is however fully enclosed with a childproof safety latch on the gate. This area features a play structure with rock formations, a small slide, and musical panel, baby swings, a playhouse, and a white sandbox with water features. Other than the playground, High View Park also has a picnic area with charcoal grills, a baseball/softball field, two lighted basketball courts with bleachers, an amphitheater, and bathrooms.
