Enjoy Story Time At Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

Join the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center every weekday at 11:00 and 11:30 am for storytime. Museum staff will read stories for children about famous aviators, hot-air balloon flights, trips to Mars, the night sky, and winged creatures that soar through the skies. Afterward, visitors ages two through eight-years-old will take part in a hands-on activity. The November book is Violet the Pilot by Steve Breen. The story is about Violet the Pilot By the time she's two years old, Violet Van Winkle can engineer nearly any appliance in the house. And by eight she's building elaborate flying machines from scratch—mind-boggling contraptions such as the Tubbubbler, the Bicycopter, and the Wing-a-ma-jig. Storytime will take place in the Ultralight Aircraft section of the Boeing Aviation Hangar. There will be no storytime on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28, 2019). The admission to the storytime is free however the parking fee is $15.
