The Child & Family Network Centers will be launching a free preschool education to 45 children in Alexandria to be held in a West End Apartment Complex at 101 South Whiting Street. Child & Family Network Centers provides a network of preschools located in apartment centers and recreation centers for low income children who are unable to afford a proper education.
The new classroom space became possible after public funding from the City Council, private contributions from Marietta McNeil Morgan and Samuel Ttae Morgan Jr Trust and Van Metre Foundation as well as pro bono support from the West End community. The new classroom space was opened by Mayor Justin Wilson and other officials on Saturday October 26, 2019.
