The Alexandria-Caen Sister Cities Committee and the Office of Historic Alexandria will be celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau Day, the world's largest wine party on November 21st at The Lloyd House 220 N Washington Street Alexandria. Beaujolais Nouveau Day is celebrated in France on the third Thursday in November where wine nearly half of Beaujolais's annual wine production or 65 million bottles of wine is consumed during the festivities. During Sortie of the Beaujolais Nouveau, patrons will be treated to the first taste of the 2019 harvest with tasty treats while mingling with fellow French enthusiats and Sister City supporters. The event will feature guest speaker Robert Cavanaugh of Adventure Wine LLC who will educate the guests on the significance of Beaujolais and its current wine release.
