Vienna will celebrate the season with the 73rd annual Halloween Parade along Maple Avenue on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. This year's parade theme is "Famous Children's Books and Fairytales Brought to Life." This amazing parade is an area favorite that draws tens of thousands of viewers from all over Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
The 2019 Vienna Halloween Parade will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23
Each year, the Town recognizes parade winners at a Town Council meeting in November. Judged categories include youth band, float with music, youth performer, antique/classic vehicle, adult band, float without music, and adult performer. The public is invited to attend the meeting to find out who won in each category.
The Vienna Halloween Parade is co-hosted by the Town of Vienna and the Vienna Business Association. This fun, free parade features originally created floats, bands, costumed kids, and more.
Maple Avenue will be closed with barricades between East Street and Lawyers Road from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Surrounding blocks will also be closed with barricades from approximately 4:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Church Street, East Street and other roads will serve as detour routes. Kids accompanied by adults can walk in the parade but do not have to register. Participants should meet at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot at United Bank, 374 Maple Avenue East.
