Burgundy is located in Alexandria VA just outside the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County. Burgundy is nestled in a quiet dale between Franconia Road and Telegraph Road. The homes here range from humble to high-end. Most of the neighborhood was built prior to 1980, but many of the homes are newer. Burgundy is very close to the Huntington Metro Station with many homes within walking distance (if you’re willing to cross Telegraph Road on foot). Many homes here were built in the sixties and seventies, and many of these have upgrades and additions. Some pockets of Burgundy were built much more recently. The Burgundy Community is served by the top-ranked Fairfax County Public School District. Students attend Clermont Elementary, Mark Twain Middle School and Edison High School. Burgundy Farm Country Day School is one of the private school options in the community. Nearby Old Town Alexandria and the National Harbor, provide a unique and diverse selection of restaurants and shops.
