The Alexandria Choral Society (ACS) will kick off its 50th season on October 19th at Rachel M Schlesinger Concert Hall located on The Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. The Alexandria Choral Society was formed in 1970 by founder director Francisco De Araujo and its has since been provided performances which have enriched the community with choral pieces from Renaissance to Modern American composers and a variety of musical cultures.
With over 100 members, the Alexandria Choral Society will celebrate its 50th season with performances on December 14th - Seek Out Light, March 7th 2020 - Performance Art and May 9th 2020 - An American Songbook. The Alexandria Choral Society will continue to enhance the cultural life of the City of Alexandria and its communities by providing diverse and engaging vocal music at the highest artistic level.
