Vale Arts is presenting its Fall Art Show named "Colorful Journeys" from September 27 to September 29 at Vale Schoolhouse 3124 Fox Mill Rd, Oakton, VA from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Colorful Journeys will introduce the most recent work of nine local artists, exhibiting more than 150 different works of fine art in a variety of styles and media. Nine local artists from Northern Virginia will exhibit the most recent original oils, acrylics, mixed media and watercolor paintings at the Colorful Journeys. Alice Nodine, Katherine Rodgers, and Joyce Lee will be featured as Guest Artists joining the ValeArts group of Linda Bullen, Laura Barringer, Lorrie Herman, Kim Richards, Meredith Hannon, and Diana Eichler. Alice is an abstract expressionist working in acrylic creating interesting designs. Joyce creates large flower portraits with a modern Asian flair. And Katherine works in both watercolor and alcohol ink to create provocative abstracts. You can meet the artists at the Reception Friday, September 27 from 7-9. "Something for Everyone" is the motto of ValeArts and the show will provide a true mix of media, styles, sizes, and approaches. This has been a Vale Schoolhouse event for 27 years running. It is a family-friendly event. The admission to the event is free. The site for the show is an original Fairfax County one-room schoolhouse which was built in the 19th century. Colorful walls and Colorful Journeys will greet you as you step into the world of art.
