Arlington will soon have its first indoor running studio open in Clarendon.
Formula Running Center, which will have classes that cater to runners of all fitness levels, will feature coached treadmill workouts focussing on sprint-interval training and high-performance recovery. The center will also have stretching classes, full-body cryotherapy, a cold water plunge pod, an infrared sauna, and more.
“Our comprehensive list of classes and recovery services is made to keep you hitting the tread, pounding the pavement, and crushing personal fitness goals,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.
The member-based center, which was previously called “FootFire” in permit filings last year, is slated to open this fall and will be located in the former American Tap Room Space, at 3101 Wilson Blvd.
According to county records, the studio had applied for a construction permit in April. It will join the ranks of nearby fitness studios like SoulCycle and Barry's Bootcamp and is also close to Clarendon Metro station and Pacers running store.
Formula Running Center is sponsoring the upcoming Clarendon Day Run on Saturday, September 21.
