The American Horticultural Society will be hosting its 26th Annual Gala on September 21st at its River Farm headquarters 7931 E Boulevard in Alexandria. This year’s annual event themed a “Harvest of Health and Happiness” will feature a cocktail reception, live music, silent and online auctions and a three course complemented with live music. Participants at the event will celebrate the work of the society and its impact on million of lives for more than 95 years. The American Horticultural Society spearheaded by Kristen Coffield is a non profit organization which raises the awareness about the vital connection between people and plants and inspires communities to responsible caretakers of the earth. Proceeds from the Gala will provide monetary support for a variety of key programs, the society’s education and outreach programs and the stewardship of the organization’s headquarters.
