Learn More About Potomac Yard Park In Alexandria

The Potomac Yard Park is a 23.4 acre neighborhood park located at 2501 Potomac Ave in Alexandria. The park was designed and constructed through a partnership between the Alexandria City Council and Pulte Homes. The park features picnic tables and pathways with ADA accessibility, outdoor stage area for the hosting of special events, Stormwater Management Ponds, Walking/Bicycle trails and passive seating areas with historical interpretations. Sports fanatics can enjoy park facilities such athletic fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and volleyball courts. There is a playground for kids to enjoy which is ADA accessible. Potomac Yard Park features an Interactive Fountain which is located between the two playgrounds. The Interactive Foundation has thirty-six waterjets which include twelve laminar jets which shoots water between two troughs with lighting for nighttime effects. The Fountain features a secondary ultraviolet water treatment system which supports the City's Eco-City Initiative by treating and recycling water which results in reduced water use.
