- Credit History – The potential renter's credit history informs us about the prospective lessee’s current and past performance in the scored record of the applicant's ability to repay debts and demonstrated responsibility in repaying debts. The potential lessee’s credit report also tells us their monthly debt and shows their previous addresses (which we compare to addresses listed on the application). An applicant must have acceptable credit to qualify.
- Tenant Screening – Nesbitt Realty & Management screens tenants with a combination of checking credit history, background, eviction, and criminal screening services as well as our own efforts to collect information needed to confirm and process the application.
- Application – After the applicant stop-bys a rental home, the agent takes an application. The application is accompanied by supporting documentation so that our operation can verify and investigate all information included on the application. The applicant pays for the cost of the background check at the time of application.
