Fun Things To Do At Upton Hill Regional Park In Arlington

Upton Hill Regional Park is a seven-acre park that offers a ton of fun things to do. It contains the Ocean Dunes waterpark, nine batting cages, an 18-hole miniature golf course, and about two miles of walking trails.

Operated by the NOVA Parks agency of Nothern Virginia, Upton Hill Regional Park provides an oasis for Arlington's families to unwind and cool off especially on summer weeknights and weekends. The park is conveniently located in Arlington near the Fairfax boarder and is a short drive from anywhere in Arlington. You can also get there through riding the orange or silver line to Ballston-MU station and later taking the 1A bus to Wilson Blvd & N. Livingston Street. The park is a short walk from there. Here are some fun things to do at Upton Hill Regional Park:
  • Practice in one of the batting cages- there are six baseball cages and three softball cages with different speeds.
  • Have fun at the beach-themed Ocean Dunes Waterpark which has a giant 500-gallon dumping bucket, water slides, waterfalls, and squirters.
  • Tee-up at one of the best mini-golf courses in the area which has a beautifully designed gauntlet of 18 holes that wind alongside water channels and offers many challenging holes and hazards.
  • Walk, hike and enjoy nature with your entire family at the wooded trails surrounding the park. The trails lead to hilltop views of the surrounding areas.ting
