The Signature Theater features Broadway-caliber production with intimate playing spaces and aims to be a leading force in U.S. musical theater. Founded in 1990, the Signature Theater has produced 56 world premiere works and worked with renowned people like Cameron Mackintosh, Terrence McNally, John Kander, and Fred Ebb. Signature has also had a long-standing relationship with Stephen Sondheim, producing 22 of his musicals, revues, and concerts. The theater is easily accessible from downtown Washington DC and there is free parking in any public lot in downtown Shirlington. You can have a light meal and some drinks before the show at Ali's Bar located at the theatre. The Signature shop offers show-related merchandise including CDs, show posters, books, etc, which you can buy before or after the show. No matter where you sit in the audience, you will be able to enjoy the show without a problem since there isn't a bad seat in the theatre.
