Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park is a 0.32 acres park located at 224 North Fayette Street in Old Town West Alexandria. The neighborhood park was named in honor of community activists the late Mr Bernard Hunter and Mrs Helen Miller. The park features a playground for kids,swings and a basketball court.
Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park is the perfect area for toddlers and young children as the playground is a fenced area with slides, climbing wall, swings, see-saws and balance beam. The playground area also has a rubber surface to keep kids safe if they should fall. The basketball court is used for evening and night time play and is the main area for a league play which is held during the summer months. The Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park is adopted and managed by the West Old Town Civic Association.
