Lost Boy Cider To Open A New Warehouse Off Eisenhower Avenue In Alexandria

Lost Boy Cider, the first urban cidery in North Virginia is slated to open a cider production facility and tasting room at 317 Hooffs Run Drive off Eisenhower Avenue in early June. Lost Boy Cider was founded by banking executive turn cider-maker Tristan Wright after a brief love affair with cider on a trip to Ireland in 2010 and a medical scare in 2015. The company plans to make wine from juice harvested from its farm in southern Virginia after which it will go through fermentation vessels then filtered, pasteurized and put into containers and disturbed. The tasting room would allow customers to sample products or buy packaged items. The company will have a small orchard space along the road with eight apple trees and will feature a lot of plant life and natural light while still maintaining the industrial vibe of a cider making facility. The cidery will obtain apples from Glaize Apples then juice the apples which will then be shipped to Lost Boy where they will await fermenting, aging, carbonating and pasteurizing processes that will transform them into cider. The tasting room will be open from 4 to 9 pm during he week and from 4 to 10 pm on the weekends. The cidery will also be available for the hosting of special events.
