Why You Should Visit Angel Park In Alexandria

Angel Park is an urban neighborhood park located at 201 West Taylor Run Parkway in Alexandria. The 10.34 acres park was named after William J Angel who owned the land in 1939. The park is located along the West Taylor Run Parkway and Taylor Run and it is used by residents in neighboring areas such as Del Ray and Old Town. Angel Park is currently adopted by the Taylor Run Civic Association through the Adopt-a-Park program. The park features a small playground, athletic fields, basketball courts, park shelter with grill and a walking path. The baseball field which is located on the west side of the park is annually used for Little League and T-ball during baseball season. The field is also used for informal baseball/softball games, soccer and touch football. Residents who visit the park can do sledding on the hill during the snowy period. The Taylor Run Civic Association host events held at the park which allows neighbors to meet and greet and become familiar with each other.
