Each winter in Northern Virginia a few celebrations all about chocolate take place, the first of which is the McLean Chocolate Festival. For eight years in a row, Washington, DC History & Culture has hosted the McLean Chocolate Festival. The Annual McLean Chocolate Festival is a community and family-friendly event. Vendors sell all things chocolate and there are chocolate-related games for children. Each year the Festival grows in both the number and quality of vendors and in the number of visitors attending.
The main goals of this festival are to bring out local residents to an event that is fun for the whole family and to promote McLean businesses. Any business that sells something chocolate or related products (cakes, cupcakes, cookies, drinks, ice cream, etc.) is invited to sell its products.
You can taste the specialties of area chocolatiers and your whole family can have fun. There are also live entertainment and children’s game room arranged at the festival. Lectures are also held on how chocolate was made in colonial America.
This year, the eighth annual McLean Chocolate Festival was managed by the McLean Rotary Club. It was a community and family-based event held on the last Sunday in January at the newly renovated and reopened McLean Community Center.
In short, there's no better time to try chocolate everything than the annual McLean Chocolate Festival.
