Nesbitt Realty & Management prepares written leases for property owners with rental properties in the counties of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax and Falls Church as a part of our property management service.
By all means, you’re probably already aware that all of our rents are in writing. The lease our team uses is written by staff attorneys at the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. Nesbitt Realty just changes details like the dates, the association information and so forth.
Leases usually have a one-year term. Longer leases are infrequently approved and only after discussions with the investor. With the property owner’s approval—especially during slower rental periods—Nesbitt Realty makes rents for less than one year. Most usually landlords accept longer or shorter leases to have the rent expire during a more active rental period. Nesbitt will from time to time work to place a tenant on a month-to-month or short-term lease to accommodate sale of the residence by the landlord, a tenant’s pending departure, or moving the rental into a more active rental period.
For a complete break-down our process, contact Will Nesbitt or read more here. Our family-run real estate brokerage also hunts for renters through diplomatic networks and other methods. Nesbitt Realty is fully authorized to manage rental in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and we have all necessary licenses and accreditation.
