However, putting that aside, this article isn't about this townhouse in Arlington. As interesting as that property is, what I really want to write about is the elements I love Arlington. There's more to love about Arlington than I can fit in one post. But some of what I appreciate about Arlington is:
- Arlington has numerous interesting museums and is in very close proximity to capitals collection of world renown attractions and museums. Just a few of these include the Smithsonian Institution, the Air & Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, Library of Congress and many many more.
- The “Old Guard” performs live-action military drills and reenactments in Arlington at Henderson Hall from from early May through early August.
- Arlington is home to some of the nation's most treasured and revered national memorials including Arlington National Cemetery, the USMC (Iwo Jima) Memorial, the US Air Force Memorial on the hill overlooking the Pentagon and the US Pentagon Memorial.
- The George Washington Parkway is a historic and pleasant drive from Mount Vernon to Mclean VA. There are several interesting overlooks above the Potomac looking toward Georgetown in Washington DC.
