Northern Virginia is my hometown and almost everyday you'll find me working hard in or around Burke. 1. Burke is a place to find gently rolling streets with sidewalks and curbs. Burke is a place where mature trees provide shaded lawns.
2. Despite it's bucolic atmosphere, Burke is dotted with neighborhood shopping centers so that grocers and conveniences of life are always nearby.
3. We look forward to the Burke Center Festival. It's a a huge event with arts & crafts, karaoke, emergency preparedness displays, live bands, dance and other entertainment. There are of course food vendors, but also interactive puppet and wildlife shows, amusement rides, pony rides, hypnotist show. There is a basketball toss, Midway-style games, giveaways and drawings, not to mention an after-hours wine garden. Fun for all!
