Still, this post isn't about this real estate in Essex House. As interesting as that property is, what I really want to write about is the City of Alexandria. There's a lot to love about Alexandria—more than will fit in this article, but here's a number of reasons I love living here:
The Alexandria waterfront has an extensive history dating back to colonial times. It's a great place to ride a bike, take a walk, dine or shop.
Alexandria is home to hundreds of small shop boutiques and specialty stores to fill every niche you want. At the same time, Alexandria also has the big box retailers that we depend on.
Did you know that according to ProFlowers, Alexandria is one of the Top 10 Most Romantic Cities in America? In 2015, CBS News ranked Alexandria in the top 5 most romantic cities. Amazon also ranked Alexandria in the Top 20.
The Potomac Riverboat Company and the Potomac Belle are great fun at the Old Town waterfront.
