Keeping that in mind, this post isn’t about this property in Windgate of Arlington. Instead, I want to talk about good ole Arlington VA. There’s more to love about Arlington than I can fit in one post. But some of what I love about Arlington is:
- Arlington has a great plan. City planners have located high-rises in close proximity to metro stations and shops and restaurants to create a metropolitan walkable stretch from Ballston to Rosslyn. At the same time, Arlington has preserved quiet residential neighborhoods to get a great urban mix.
- Arlington has a full calendar of events, festivals and activities. There are art festivals, wine festivals, music festivals, crafts festivals and more.
- Upton Hill Regional Park is a wooded spot with several other attractions. Ocean Dunes Waterpark, which has an enormous pool, a giant slide, and more is at Upton Hill. Upton Hill also has batting cages and putt-putt golf.
- Despite being an urban county, Arlington has set aside a number of green spaces for residents to enjoy. For example, Theodore Roosvelt Park is one of my favorite places to walk.
