Keeping that in mind, this post isn't about this mid 20th-century 3-bedroom dwelling at Burke Station Square in Burke. Instead, I want to focus on why Burke is so dear to me. From the top of my head:

Burke offers remarkably good commuter options when compared to suburbs with a similar feel in Gainesville or Woodbridge.
We look forward to the Burke Center Festival. It's a a huge event with arts & crafts, karaoke, emergency preparedness displays, live bands, dance and other entertainment. There are of course food vendors, but also interactive puppet and wildlife shows, amusement rides, pony rides, hypnotist show. There is a basketball toss, Midway-style games, giveaways and drawings, not to mention an after-hours wine garden. Fun for all!
Burke is a place where you can enjoy sitting on your deck and watching the sun go down without a lot of nearby hustle and bustle.
Burke is close to several military installations like nearby Fort Belvoir and of course the Pentagon. This means that when it's time to sell your home will always enjoy a healthy demand.
