- If schools are a concern then you'll like living in Springfield. Fairfax County has some of the best public schools in Northern Virginia and in the nation. Both N Springfield, and North Springfield Elementary Schools and Holmes Middle School serve students in Springfield.
- Despite being largely outside the Beltway, residents at Springfield have good Metro access. The Blue Line has stops at Van Dorn and Franconia/Springfield station.
