- Fairfax County has some of the best public schools in the national capital region, and in the country. Both White Oaks Elementary School and Lake Braddock Middle School serve students in Burke.
- Despite it's bucolic atmosphere, Burke is dotted with neighborhood shopping centers so that grocers and conveniences of life are always nearby.
- The Burke Conservancy has 5 community pools. If you have a pool membership you can use any of these 5 pools. (The community has two swim teams!)
