But my post isn’t about this real estate in Burke Centre. Instead, I want to take a moment to talk about some of what I enjoy about Burke. I’d like to highlight just a number of elements residents like Burke VA:
- We look forward to the Burke Center Festival. It’s a a huge event with arts & crafts, karaoke, emergency preparedness displays, live bands, dance and other entertainment. There are of course food vendors, but also interactive puppet and wildlife shows, amusement rides, pony rides, hypnotist show. There is a basketball toss, Midway-style games, giveaways and drawings, not to mention an after-hours wine garden. Fun for all!
- Burke has a surprisingly rural feel despite being one of the closest suburbs to our nation’s capital.
- Burke’s location outside the Beltway between I-95 and I-66 means that two income families can find reasonable commutes for both spouses even if they work in opposite directions.
- Burke is at the heart of what make Fairfax County such a desirable place to live.
