Some Advice For Locating A Skilled Real Estate Agent In 22153

Photo of 7411 Carath Ct The most compatible agent for you probably isn't a pushy individual, and is not always the one with the most sales under his or her belt. The right Realtor for you knows how to work with the budget you establish,  and won't panic when facing an unexpected curve.

We get paid to do this job because each situation is different. Some home buyers want to be near the Metro. Some home shoppers need 4 bedrooms. Some buyers have credit issues. Every property seeker is unique in the same way, Realtors have different aptitudes and experiences. Here's some best practices for digging up the dream agent for you when you’re purchasing in Fairfax County:
  1. Check out real estate pro referrals. — I like Angie’s List because I know that Angie’s List voice verifies each review. You can also see if the agent or brokerage has any awards for client satisfaction.
  2. Speak with a few real estate professionals — You don't have to exhaust yourself chatting with agent after agent, but at least interface with two or three to see who you're most comfortable with. Take a moment to interface to me on the phone. If I can't help you, I can point you toward a Realtor who is more suited to your needs.
  3. Your real estate professional should never have an irritating personality. — You and your Realtor might be spending a lot of time together. Professional expertise is an important criterion when choosing a Realtor in Fairfax County.
  4. Find out how each Realtor identifies houses for the home buyer. — When choosing a real estate agent, ask how they seek houses. Some real estate agents have their own preferred listings that they favor. But you want what’s perfect for you, not what’s right for your real estate professional. So make sure the real estate professional is willing to search high and low to find the great property for you. That includes using the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as well as their own personal network.
  5. The devil is in the details. — The Commonwealth of Virginia requires all licensed agents to sign a representation agreement before showing properties or having material discussions about a specific home. Be very wary of any agent that is not concerned about getting a representation agreement signed. A representation agreement describes the agent's responsibilities and your obligations when a real estate agent shows you a residence in Fairfax County. This advice is heavily used for a reason.
