Old Town is the heart of Alexandria. Old Town has many buildings dating to the colonial era and there are a number of historic attractions in this part of town.
Harris Teeter,Fresh Market,Trader Joe's,Whole Foods, are just a few of our many grocery options. In addition, Alexandria has a plethora of ethnic and international grocers. Alexandria is a foodie-heaven.
The George Washington Parkway and its associated trails provide a scenic place to play and rest in the busy Washington, DC metropolitan area. It's one of my favorite roads and a regular commuter routes for many in Alexandria, Mount Vernon and Fort Hunt.
The George Washington National Masonic Memorial atop Shuter’s Hill dominates the skyline of Alexandria VA and is recognizable from miles away. The “Temple”, as locals call it, towers above Old Town and overlooks the Carlyle area around the USPTO. It's a fun an educational place to visit.
