But this post isn't about this particular piece of real estate in 22314. Instead, I want to take a moment to talk about why Alexandria is so dear to me. I'd like to point out a few features of Alexandria life that locals enjoy:

Alexandria has an abundance of parks, and I've visited many of them. Fort Hunt Park, Fort Ward Park, Green Spring Gardens, Winkler Botanical Preserve, Founders Park and Huntley Meadows are just a few.
The George Washington Parkway and its associated trails provide a scenic place to play and rest in the busy Washington, DC metropolitan area. It's one of my favorite roads and a regular commuter routes for many in Alexandria, Mount Vernon and Fort Hunt.
Winter in Alexandria is as cold as Michigan. Summer in Alexandria is as hot as Miami. The blossoms of Spring are gorgeous as is the change of leaves in Fall. I really enjoy the change in seasons.

He is a former president of the Mount Vernon Youth Athletic Association and founded the Alexandria Fun with Friends Group. Will is the author of BattlestorM, a tabletop fantasy game, which was published by Ral Partha Publishing in the late '90's, and Arthur's Realm, a boardgame available at the Gamecrafter.
