As a home purchaser, does it make any sense to love the seller as you love yourself?
As a Realtor, I pledged to act fairly towards all in the spirit of the Golden Rule, but Realtor or not, it's something that I have practiced through-out my lifetime in both business and personal matters. Even if you agree with the Golden Rule, how do you apply that to someone on the opposite side of the negotiating table? It doesn't mean that you're expected to pay more than a property like 10718 Spruce St is worth. It doesn't mean that you can't expect the best from your agent. But it does mean that:
We respect deadlines. We are punctual. We let the seller know when we will and won't inspect the property. We always deal in good faith.
Some may call me old fashioned, but I believe in the Golden Rule. Check out these suggestions.
