Martha Washington Library is on Fort Hunt Road near the intersection of Belle View Blvd and Beacon Hill Road.
The Martha Washington library is located in Alexandria, VA, in Fairfax County. It was built in 1969, making it one of the oldest branches in the Fairfax county public library system. The library was renovated and rebuilt last year making it one of the newest structures in the system.
The library possesses a modernistic architecture featuring large glass windows and contemporary masonry. The library caries over 81,000 items, ranging from mysteries and science fiction, to references and much more. There is a meeting room in the library that seats 50 people. It is a public library so that means anyone and everyone is welcome to come in and check out books, read and relax, do some research, etc. Its located right next to Mount Vernon Recreation Center, with convenient access to route 1, I-495, and George Washington Parkway. The actual location of the Martha Washington Library is on Fort Hunt Rd, very close to the Belle View Shopping Center.
