Aurora Highlands (also known as Aurora Heights) is an ultra-convenient neighborhood of mostly single-family detached homes. Most homes here don’t have quite the cache or prestige as homes higher up on Arlington Ridge, but many homes here are impressive none-the-less. A few of the homes here are throw-backs to an earlier era when this was a suburb of DC. Mixed in are a few lodges and weekend homes from the days when the Federal government started to explode. Aurora Highlands has easy access to downtown Washington, Old Town Alexandria and uptown Arlington.
