Just south of Old Town Alexandria and north of George Washington’s home of Mount Vernon is a peaceful community on the banks of the Potomac River. Perfectly situated between parks and country clubs in an environment sheltered from the traffic and hassles of Northern Virginia, Belle View is close to everything the Nation’s Capitol has to offer. Condos at Belle View were built around 1950.

Schools serving the community are: Belle View Elementary School, Carl Sandburg Middle School and West Potomac High School.

Belle View is a commuter’s dream, near everything, but away from it all. Relax at one of the many park benches where you can watch the birds sing and the squirrels frolic. Enjoy a lonely walk along the surrounding paths. Jog the Potomac Bike Trail or just sit back and relax at the private club room. Dock at the nearby boat slips or rent a boat from the marina.

Residents of the Belle View condo’s have access to a tremendous outdoor resort style pool. All Belle View residents have access to the Mount Vernon Recreational Center where you’ll find an indoor ice rink, state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor Olympic-sized pool.

Pets

Belle View is famed as a pet-friendly community. There are no weight limits on pets for owners, but renters need their condo owner’s permission to keep a pet. Dog owners must keep all dogs on a leash and must pick up dog litter. Dogs must be kept quiet, and constant barking is not allowed within the community.

Belle View is served by a well developed road system near US Rt. 1, I-495, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and the George Washington Parkway.

Fairfax Connector

The Fairfax Connector shuttles residents to the Huntington Metro.

Because most of the homes around the area were built more than 40 years ago and because there is minimal opportunity or cause for cut-through traffic, the surrounding area is relatively free from the congestion that is commonplace in the Washington Metro Region.
