Alexandria has a number of cultural treasures including the Little Theater, Alexandria Symphony Orchestra and MetroStage.
The George Washington National Masonic Memorial atop Shuter’s Hill dominates the skyline of Alexandria VA and is recognizable from miles away. The “Temple”, as locals call it, towers above Old Town and overlooks the Carlyle area around the USPTO. It's a fun an educational place to visit.
George Washington called Alexandria home and his residence is still open to the public at nearby Mt. Vernon.
Alexandria has eight waterfront parks. Each one has green space and views of the Potomac. It's a great place to walk, jog, picnic or just relax.
