But this post isn’t about 4212 31st St N. As interesting as that property is, what I really want to write about is why I love Arlington. Here’s collected features:
- The Signature Theatre is a regional professional theater located on Campbell Avenue in Arlington. The Signature is an award winning theater that presents contemporary and classical plays and musicals as well as new works. On the other hand, the Synetic Theater is an award-winning physical theater located in Crystal City. In physical theater, the story is told through motion instead of relying on words.
- Arlington is in close proximity to, or home to a number of good paying jobs. Arlington Residents work at the Departments of Defense, State, Interior, and Justice. There are numerous high profile government contractors headquartered here. Several private companies like US Airways and Marriott International offer thousands of high-paying jobs.
- Surprisingly, Arlington has a number of great locations for bird-watching. Among these is Long Branch Nature Center, a 95.5-acre green, forested area with many nature trails, a popular dog park, an amphitheater, kids’ playground, and well-maintained picnic spaces.
- Arlington is well served by the Orange Line. There are Metro Stops at Rosslyn, Court House, Clarendon, Virginia Square and Ballston.
