Alexandria is close to, or home to, some of the largest and most attractive employment centers in the world. The US Pentagon, the USPTO, the National Science Foundation, the Mark Centre and scores of national associations are all right here.
Alexandria is well served by the Yellow and Blue Metro Lines.
