We’re all familiar with the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I try to live by this maxim. Sometimes it's hard to see how the Golden Rule applies to buyers and sellers. After all, don't they want contrary goals? It doesn't mean you should settle for a row house. It doesn't mean that you can't expect the best from your agent. But it does mean that:
We want to act honorably and honestly in all our actions. We never want to argue or yell. If there is no possibility for agreement, it's time to move on—without hurt feelings.
