Some “Internet-based” companies offer a buyer’s rebate, but did you know that you can save money on your purchase and still work with a small business that appreciates your patronage? Firstly, it’s important to understand that the seller pays Realtor commissions, but the buyer does not.
The buyer doesn’t pay a commission, but the buyer’s Realtor still gets paid. In most cases, the company representing the buyer is paid 2% to 3% of the sales price. A buyer’s agent makes a portion of that amount. Nesbitt Realty pays some of that commission to the agent but we also pay some of that commission to our buyer client. The details of this offer are spelled out in your representation agreement but you can discuss your options with Julie Nesbitt by calling (703)765-0300.
