Even though it’s not easy for everyone to buy a home, it is in fact easier than ever to get a home these days with most lending agencies and banks being more liberal than ever with providing home loans and mortgages. Even if you don’t have a lot of capital or a lot of money to put down, you can still get the condo of your dreams at a very affordable price.

Alexandria is a great city to live in because has an amazing combination of historic charm and urban contemporary. This is why many condo buyers are drawn to the Carlyle District of Alexandria VA. There are a host of modern, upscale condos here that are located very close the the USPTO and the King Street Metro.

Some people prefer the hipster small-town feel of Del Ray. Del Ray is at the heart of the National Capital Region but still feels quaint and somewhat suburban.  Older garden-style condos are tucked into this neighborhood of well-kept homes and duplexes.

If you’re hunting for a bargain you can find great value in the condos of West End Alexandria.  Much of this area was developed in the 70’s and 80’s so at first blush some of these condos can seem a little dated.  The Landmark location is still close to work with loads of shopping and nearby culture.  You can earn some sweat equity by renovating an older condo, or if you prefer you can find a renovated condo to purchase.

I also really like the condos of New Alexandria.  They’re quite a bit cheaper than Old Town, but located very close the the waterfront and near major commuter arteries. It’s hard to find a more pleasant neighborhood in Northern Virginia.

A lot of us think that buying a condo is a tough process, needing a large down payment, although this isn’t always the case. Of course buying a condo largely depends on your budget, but most people have access to special financing like FHA or VHDA. The loans require little down payment.  Former service members are usually eligible for a VA loan which requires no down payment. With these low down payment options and today’s historically low rates, you might find it cheaper to buy than to rent.

Buying converts your rental payments into monthly installments towards your own home. All across the United States, you can find of lot of banks and lenders that offer easy to get loans for purchasing your own home or real estate property at low interest rates. With a low interest rate, you can get the home of your dreams and enjoy low monthly payments.
