Five Timeless Tips for Cleaning Homes

  1. Put a cup of water in the microwave for 5 minutes (this will make steam, which will loosen food particles), then wipe down the interior.
  2. Spray half water diluted bleach Clorox for mold and discoloration in the bathroom. Avoid use of bleach on reglazed or refinished surfaces, or hire a professional. Additionally, to clean in between tub tile mold grout, leave a soaked rag as close to the spot as possible, for 1 hour.
  3. Clean grease in the kitchen. Use EASY OFF (fume free) on the following  surfaces.
    • Inside of oven. (Safe to leave on for hours depending on the condition)
    • Interior of Range hood vent covers (unless they are painted)

  4. Clean the stinky garbage disposal. Put 2 handfuls of ice cubes down the disposal add a cup of vinegar or baking soda and run the disposal till the Ice is gone. I normally suggest to turn the water on to almost a trickle to easy the grinding.
  5. Clean dull floors. Quick Shine is your friend on any kind of floor finishing . Yes, from stone to laminate and everything in between. Easy as squirt and mop, most important is to make sure you mop in the direction of the grain of the surface especially on laminate and wood. It is a wax based floor finish thus not advisable to use on your floor every week due to build up. Its very high gloss on wood so if you are not the shiny kind , stay away.
